We Have a Winner!!

I have been on the hunt as mentioned in my last post for the ooohhhh so perfect Sofa and Ottoman or Table that had the perfect touch of contemporary and Traditional that will be Timeless oh and is in my Budget, and yesterday I found it:) It will be mine in a short 6 - 8 weeks I am hoping since I will be moving in before Christmas that it will be closer to the 6 week mark but you can't Rush custom:)

Thank You to Urban Barn who helped me with this Beautiful piece. They have a great selection of Custom Fabrics that you can choose from to make it that much more unique and personalized. I selected a nice calm shade of Grey which comes in a very durable fabric I know this because I already have it on my existing couch in another color. Then I threw a pop of pattern and color on the throw cushions with a gorgeous embroidered fabric. I will post some pics of the actual sofa once I get it but here is a sneak peak:)

Which couch will I choose

As the renovations go forward there is much more than just the the construction stuff, apparently I have furniture to think about as well considering the furniture that I now have is way too large. The condo I am currently living in is a very open concept so although the new place is bigger the layout does not allow for the furniture pieces I have. Well.... I could move my couch and table but if I ever had any guests for dinner they would not be happy with the TV tray I handed them to eat off of because there would be no room for a dinning Table:)

I have spent the last couple days browsing online for furniture and there seems to be a problem between what I love and have to have and what my bank account says I can have, so today I went out on the hunt to see if I could find something me and my bank account could agree on, here are some of my finds.

Which do you love?

What will I do

The renovations are coming along, maybe not as smoothly as hoped. This weekend there was a bit of a snag with the flooring installation so didn't get as much done as hoped but it is coming along. So I thought today to distract myself a bit I would share with you a couple of pics I found of homes I loved. I will be purchasing new furniture so am looking to see what style I want to go with. I think on this home I am going to stay with a very subtle monochromatic color scheme a shabby chic style. This is quit the opposite of my much more colorful contemporary style of my home now, but it's time for a bit of change.

I love this rug I wish I was brave enough to use this in my space I am always afraid it will be too busy, but keeping everything else so calm and neutral it really adds the punch this room needs.

Absolutley LOVE this combinations of rustic aged wood with the beautiful gloss Calacatta Marble
